Nanyang Technological University's School of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS) email to graduates have riled some students. The School encouraged its students who will be graduating in 3 months time to share their success stories. It said these stories will be shared across various platforms, including in the mainstream media. What has irked some students is HSS's call for 'inspirational stories' included being a politician's child. Facebook user Joel Chong who shared the university's email said sarcastically: "meritocracy is real and working, how dare we plebeians doubt it!"
