Man snatches altar offerings from HDB corridor, but 'At least he asked God for permission, lol' — Netizen

A man caught on camera swiping some fruit off an altar but offering a prayer before leaving the scene has gone viral. "At least he asked the God for permission, lol," wrote TikTok user Melvin Chew who shared the video of the incident which happened on Sept 11. "Someone so respectful at that level of desperation deserves the food at least," said a TikTok user. "Your request approved," said TikTok user @Foodeaten90, while another netizen said, "let him eat those apples." Netizens also pointed out that the offerings being taken and eaten were better than the fruits eventually rotting. "Think it's ok to take the food, after all, they must have already been eaten by the deities. My neighbours used to distribute to us after praying," noted TikTok user @HpChua.
