Four Singaporeans arrested in Taiwan for allegedly raping two local women

Shin Min Daily News reported that the Taiwan police has arrested four Singaporeans on 13 Dec for allegedly raping two Taiwanese women while on holiday. The suspects committed the crime in a rental apartment in the Datong district in Taipei. The four men aged between 20 - 25 travelled to Taiwan last week and they lured the two local women to their apartment from a nightclub. There they got the women drunk before raping them. The four men then tried to leave Taiwan yesterday (13 Dec) but were arrested before they could. Three of the four suspects were charged with rape while the other was allowed bail of NT$15,000 (S$673.50), because the women said he did not participate in the rape.
