If you’ve ever wanted to see the Law and Home Affairs Minister do some serious heavy lifting, you’ll have a chance to do so later this month.
K Shanmugam is not only participating in the Chong Pang Fitness Fiesta 2022 on Nov 27, but he said in a video posted on his Facebook page that he’ll try to lift weights that are heavier than before.
Mr Shanmugam represents the Chong Pang ward in Parliament (PAP-Nee Soon GRC).
He added that he has been staying healthy and that he’s been “training with David for 3 years now (with breaks in between, because of Covid). Have focused on strength training."
The public is welcome to witness and participate in the event, with tickets priced at a reasonable $5 per person.
Whole families are welcome to join, reads an announcement on the Chong Pang Zone 7 Residents' Committee Facebook page.
“It’s school holiday, we are inviting families to come join us for an exercise session!
There are a total of 20 fun stations for each category! Adults category (age 18 and above)
Children category (age 6 - 17 years old),” it added.
Participants who are able to complete 15 out of 20 stations win a sports pack worth $15++.
