Woman says she can't forgive her ex-boyfriend in JC 15 years ago, asks why he's still leading a good life after hurting so many girls

A woman deeply hurt by her ex-boyfriend and unable to move on wrote: "I can’t help but ask why he is still leading a good life after hurting so many girls?" The woman shared in an anonymous post on popular confessions page SGWhispers that she was already married with two children, but was unable to stop thinking about her boyfriend in Junior College (JC). She added that she thought he would be the one. "The relationship ended almost 15 years ago when we were in JC. He cheated on me 3times and finally he decided to leave me, even when I was all ready to forgive him", she wrote. In her post, she added that she had recently come across his social media profile and had found out that "he is married to a beautiful lady, and recently his wife gave birth to a baby girl. He has been posting pictures of his cute little one". She said that she had mixed feelings from seeing his photos. "Why are guys like him able to get a beautiful wife and have such a nice family? He has hurt me deeply and I find it so difficult to forgive him. And now with social media, he kept appearing and even when I have a great family now", the woman wrote. Netizens who commented on her post advised her to move on. They also told her that social media was one-sided and would only show the good parts. Earlier this year, a young university student wrote that she was confused and asked for advice about her situation with a senior student with whom she has a close friendship. The girl, a year 1 student, has a boyfriend doing army training but admits that she led on the senior student, whom she describes as “my ideal type of guy.”

“He is always by my side whenever I feel depress (sic), cheering me up with magic tricks. Although he knew that I’m already attached, he continued to shower me with affection and love. Instead of rejecting him, I led him on by asking him to hug me when I’m sad. Kiss him on the cheek when he sent me back home.”

The young woman argued that she is not cheating on her boyfriend “as long as I didn’t engage in s**ual activity with” the senior student. She added that she has told the senior student “there is a very low probability” of her becoming his girlfriend.

“However, he gave me a shocking reply that touched my heart deeply and brought me to tears… he is unwilling to abandon a vulnerable girl like me. He wants to stay by my side to protect my fragile heart until the day I no longer needs (sic) him. When that day arrives, he will cut all contacts from me in order to nurse his emotional wounds,” the girl wrote, adding, “I’m confuse(d) now, what should I do?”
