We can’t lockdown or simply let go and let things rip: PM Lee on Covid-19 situation
Singapore – “We can neither lockdown indefinitely and stand still, nor can we simply let go and let things rip,” said Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong in an update to Singapore’s Covid-19 situation.
Citing the multi-ministry task force for Covid-19, Mr Lee announced through a Facebook post on Saturday (Oct 23) that Covid-19 measures can be eased if the weekly infection growth rate drops below one.

On Oct 21, the latest episode of hit Chinese reality show Call Me By Fire showed concert pianist Li Yundi mosaicked over with portions of his scenes cut away. This suspicious move caused netizens to question if Li is the latest Chinese celebrity to be blacklisted by the government.
Chinese state media outlet People’s Daily revealed that Li has been detained in Beijing for prostitution allegations. Prostitution is illegal in the country. A 29-year-old female surnamed Chen was also detained with Li.

Singapore – In response to the updates of Singapore’s border measures, such as resuming travel from Southeast Asian countries, members of the public expressed their concerns on the matter.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced on Saturday (Oct 23) that travellers from six countries will be allowed entry into Singapore.
