Mercedes speeding along PIE bend crashes into barrier and flips over before catching fire

Singapore — A major accident occurred along the Pan-Island Expressway (PIE) early Monday morning (Jan 31), resulting in a man being hospitalised. Facebook page ROADS.sg uploaded a video of the accident on Monday, showing a white Mercedes travelling at high speed along PIE. The car began to fishtail, its rear swaying side to side before bumping the road divider. The vehicle recording the scene on a dashboard camera captured the white sedan spinning in mid-air before crashing to the ground. We pray that everyone will be alright," wrote ROADS.sg in a follow-up comment. The police said they were alerted to the crash at 1:04 am on Monday on the PIE towards Changi Airport before Thomson Road.
