Hit-and-run turns into car chase as Porsche flees scene after accident

Singapore ― An initial hit-and-run accident turned into a car chase as the victim decided to follow the Porsche Macan that hit him.
A Porsche Macan was caught on camera overtaking a vehicle at a bend with double white lines indicating overtaking was not allowed. Read more here. 

Malaysia eases travel curbs as Covid outbreak slows

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia — Malaysia eased domestic and international travel curbs on Sunday for those fully vaccinated against the coronavirus, as a fierce outbreak slows and inoculation rates rise.
The Southeast Asian nation had faced its worst Covid-19 wave in recent months, prompting authorities to impose a tough nationwide lockdown.But with case numbers falling and the inoculation rollout picking up speed, authorities began lifting curbs, with businesses allowed to reopen and workers slowly returning to offices. Man says girlfriend made him feel ‘sia suay’, humiliated for ordering cheapest item on menu

Malaysia – A Malaysian man confessed feeling humiliated after his girlfriend ordered the cheapest item on the menu during dinner with his friends and their partners. The man took to social media to “confess” about his girlfriend’s character, sharing his experience on Facebook page UTAR (Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman) Confessions 2017/2018 on Sept 13, which has gone viral recently. Mixed reactions to crowds at SIA service centre after announcement of more travel — some say it’s too soon

Singapore — Crowds rushed to the Singapore Airlines (SIA) service centre in Orchard Road after Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s announcement that travel will soon be allowed to nine more countries, including the US and the UK.

PM Lee announced on Saturday (Oct 9) that under the Vaccinated Travel Lane scheme, fully vaccinated travellers may soon be able to visit several countries with fewer swab tests and without needing to undergo quarantine.

Ho Ching: SG going through ‘exit wave’

Singapore — Madam Ho Ching, the wife of Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, wrote in a Sunday evening (Oct 10) Facebook post that Singapore is going through an “exit wave.”

The phrase came from an Oct 10 article from New Zealand website Stuff entitled “Covid-19 NZ: Singapore, the country that decided to let Covid in.”
