Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger and Twitter suffer outages
DownDetector, which monitors website and app issues noted that the issues began around 8AM ET. The issues did not affect all images as pictures on Facebook and Instagram still load but others appeared blank.
As the outage continued on, Facebook released a second statement apologising for any inconvenience.
Facebook’s platform status website still lists a “partial outage,” with a note saying that the company is “working on a fix that will go out shortly.” On the official Twitter support account, Twitter released a statement about the downtime: "We're currently having some issues with DM delivery and notifications. We're working on a fix and will follow up as soon as we have an update for you. Apologies for the inconvenience." As of publishing time, all services have been restored. -/TISGNewsletter
