Bolton would use military force to arm-twist China: The Post

The South China Morning Post said on Wednesday the new U.S. security adviser is willing to risk a military conflict with China to achieve President Donald Trump’s goals for America. The Post said this was revealed to them by two former senior US officials. Bolton joined the White House turning it an increasingly hawkish administration that is willing to go to war at all cost - over Syria currently - and soon North Korea and China. Former officials who worked with Bolton said in interviews to the Post the latter believed in the ancient Roman battle philosophy: “If you want peace, prepare for war”, and would use military force to coerce compliance from China.

Bolton was asked about reports that Russian and Chinese armed forces are training together in anticipation of a US attack on North Korea.
His response was that he was unfazed, saying the “odds” of a joint Russian-Chinese military response “between slim and none.”
“There is one diplomatic [sic] play left with China,” Bolton told FOX Business. “To say:  ‘You want to get rid of the North Korean nuclear threat?  The way to do that is to get rid of this regime.’”
