BBC's Singlish banter delights its readers

BBC on 13 May published a story, "'Chinese helicopter': Singlish OED entry baffles Singaporeans". The story reported that some Singaporeans did not understand the Singlish (Colloquial Singaporean English) word 'Chinese Helicopter' which was recently included in the Oxford English Dictionary. BBC shared their story in their Facebook, which led to some of its Singaporean readers playfully commenting in Singlish to the story. To many readers surprise, the English broadcaster started replying to them in Singlish.
